in one request
PMIPricer reads the loan facts already on the file (LTV, FICO, product, occupancy) against every carrier’s rate card and returns each premium side by side. Standalone or inside the pricing flow. No portals, no re-keying.

What lenders ask first.
Can LoanPASS quote mortgage insurance?
Yes. PMIPricer compares every carrier in one request, standalone or inside the pricing flow. No portals, no re-keying.
What is PMIPricer?
PMIPricer is LoanPASS mortgage insurance quoting. It compares carriers and returns a premium. You used to know this product as PMI Rate Pro.
Do I still need carrier portals?
No. The point is to stop re-keying the same loan into every portal. One request. Every carrier.
Does this replace our pricing engine?
No. PMIPricer quotes the MI premium. PricingEngine prices the shelf. CreditDecisionEngine decides the file. If the file is already in LoanPASS, you do not swivel out to get the premium.
How many carriers does it compare?
We support querying all 7 major carriers n one request.
What information does PMIPricer need to quote mortgage insurance?
The loan facts already on the file: LTV, FICO, product, and occupancy. PMIPricer runs those against each carrier’s rate card and returns the premiums side by side. If the file is already in LoanPASS, nothing is typed twice.
Which loans need a mortgage insurance quote?
Conventional and portfolio loans over 80 LTV, because those carry borrower-paid mortgage insurance. Banks, credit unions, and TPO shops quoting them need the premium in the same answer as the rate. Business purpose loans do not carry borrower-paid MI, so PMIPricer does not appear on that segment.
Can a loan officer compare MI carriers inside the pricing flow?
Yes. Run PMIPricer on its own, or let it ride inside the pricing flow so the loan officer sees the rate and the premium together and never leaves the quote. Either way it is one request across every carrier.
Is PMIPricer part of the underwriting decision?
No. CreditDecisionEngine decides the file against your credit policy. PMIPricer quotes the premium from the facts on that file and the carriers’ rate cards. It is not computed from credit-policy rules and it does not agree or disagree with the decision.
Is PMI Rate Pro still available?
It is the same product under a new name. PMI Rate Pro is now PMIPricer, and the job has not changed: every MI carrier compared in one request from the loan facts already on the file.
Why does the MI premium matter so much in a quote?
After the rate, the MI premium is the number that moves the payment. Quoting it late, or from the one carrier portal someone remembered to open, means the borrower hears a payment that changes later. Comparing every carrier from the file at quote time puts the premium in the same answer as the rate.
