Job Description: As a Senior Rust Developer at LoanPASS, you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing our cutting-edge pricing engine. While professional experience with Rust is not mandatory, you should have a strong foundation in the core language features and be eager to apply your skills to this exciting domain. The position is fully remote in the US.
Qualifications: ● Experience with Rust. Professional experience is not required, but personal experience with the core features of the language: traits, generics, ownership/borrowing, etc. ● Experience developing complex web applications. ● Proficient with SQL. ● AWS devops experience is a big plus. ● Capable of working independently and driving projects to completion. ● Enthusiasm for getting details right. ● Strong communication skills. ● A keen interest in learning the language and math of the lending industry. ● A background in the mortgage industry is a nice-to-have but not required.
Responsibilities: ● Assist in the ongoing development effort of the pricing and underwriting engine. ● Own development of our formula parsing, type checking, and execution modules. ● Understand business requirements and shape the product's architecture and roadmap. ● Develop reliable processes for onboarding and deploying the application for new customers. ● Work with customers to gather and integrate feedback into the development process. ● Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
