Nomi Smith, MBA, is a seasoned mortgage professional, fintech innovator, and founder of PMI Rate Pro—a modern mortgage insurance technology platform acquired by LoanPass. After earning her MBA from Avila University, Smith combined her experience as a loan officer with entrepreneurial vision to launch PMI Rate Pro in 2020, driven by a desire to bring greater transparency and meaningful savings to homebuyers. Her platform, the industry’s first end-to-end PMI API, allows mortgage technology solutions to integrate once to all of the private mortgage insurance providers—saving borrowers thousands and improving the lending experience. Now part of the leadership team at LoanPass, Smith is focused on integrating PMI Rate Pro’s technology into LoanPass’s powerful decisioning engine. In addition to leading PMI Rate Pro, she also oversees business development and sales to expand the reach of solutions that prioritize transparency and value for both lenders and borrowers. Smith lives in Leawood, Kansas with her husband, three children, and two dogs.
